What is an electronic or ebook?

An ebook is simply a digital version of book designed to be read on a computing device. There are many types of computer devices and file formats for ebooks, but New Mexico Faith is designed to be read on a regular computer screen using the popular Portable Document Format (PDF) familiar to many computer users.

Why are you using a PDF format?

There are several reasons. Many people are already familiar with the PDF format. Since 1994, the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has provided tax forms and booklets on its website. More than 1.5 billion copies of tax forms have been downloaded since 1996. PDFs can be viewed on various platforms, such as Microsoft Windows and Macintosh. There are more than 200 million PDF documents on the web today, a testament to the popularity and widespread use of PDFs. An ebook in PDF format makes it easier for a large number of people to enjoy a book such as New Mexico Faith.

Do I have to buy any expensive equipment or software to view the ebook?

No. The ebook was designed to be viewed on a regular computer. You must have Adobe Reader loaded on your computer to view the ebook. Many computers already have Adobe Reader installed. If you don’t have it installed, you can download a FREE copy of Adobe Reader through Adobe’s website. More than 500 million copies of Adobe reader software have been downloaded worldwide.

Do I need a particular version of Adobe Reader?

It is recommended that you have Adobe Reader 7.0 or higher to take full advantage of the interactive features available in New Mexico Faith. Results can be inconsistent with Adobe Reader 6.0, so it is highly recommended that you upgrade to Adobe Reader 7.0 if the interactive features such as rollovers don't work. It is the responsibility of the ebook buyer to make sure that the computer to be used for viewing the PDF can do so. Anything else I should know?

Make sure your computer has the latest software needed to play .wav sound files. Also, you may need to adjust the sound levels and monitor settings on your computer to suit individual tastes. That way, you can lighten or darken the images on the ebook for ideal viewing conditions. Special for Macintosh Users: Do not use the Preview feature to view the PDF file because the interactive features will not work. Open the file using a current version of Adobe Reader.

How do I receive the ebook once I've purchased it?

Once you see notification that your payment has been processed and approved, you will be taken to a download page with a link to download your book. In addition you will also receive an email with a link to your download. When you click on the download link, you will get the standard window asking you whether you want to SAVE or OPEN the file and where to save it on your computer. It is highly recommended that you SAVE the file. Remember where you saved the file for later retrieval.

If you do choose to OPEN the file in your web browser, remember to save it when your are done viewing the ebook.

Although you have 72 hours to download a copy of the ebook, it is advisable to download it as soon as possible. The PDF file is roughly 4.4 MB, so the speed of the download will depend on your internet connection. Please be patient.
